Court is held every Wednesday beginning at 2:30 p.m. for trials and 4:30 p.m. at Washington Terrace City Hall in the Council Chambers.

Consistent with the Utah Courts, the mission of the Washington Terrace Court is to provide the people an open, fair, efficient and independent system for the advancement of justice under the law. The position of the Court is to educate people regarding their rights and duties under the law and render fair and speedy justice at a local level.
You may be a candidate for Washington Terrace Traffic School and qualify to have your citation dismissed. To qualify for traffic school, the citation you received must be for a minor traffic offense such as:
Speeding- 20 MPH or under.
Stop sign, red light, improper turns or other minor moving violations.
Must not involve a traffic accident.
You may apply for traffic school if you meet each of the guidelines:
1. You have not attended traffic school in Washington Terrace in the last 3 years.
2. You have no more than 1 other citation for a moving violation within the last 3 yrs.
3. You have a valid driver license at the time of the violation.
In order to apply for traffic school you must appear in court. Court is held on Wednesday of each week at 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm. If approved for traffic school, you will be scheduled to attend a 2-hour class, normally held the last Thursday of each month at 4:00pm. You will also be required to pay a traffic school fee of $45 in addition to your citation fine. For questions about traffic school, you may contact the court clerk at 801-393-8951.
